Okay, I know you may have been expecting to hear some more on CeBIT but in the meantime have a look at this great spoof Pizza ad from the American Civil Liberties Union about the potiential abuse of personal data and data mining.

CeBIT in Germany
Just spent the last 2 days at CeBIT in snowy Hanover, Germany. I'll post a bit of a summary in the next few days. However some highlights include RFID in supermrkets, GPS, and outsourcing of IT.

Virtual writing on the wall
I'm currently in the UK on route to the CeBIT exhibition in Germany and noticed a great technology story in the paper yesterday about author Margaret Atwood and her virtual LongPen. She uses the LongPen to sign her books without bothering to travel to the bookshop where the signing is actually taking place!
Atwood is also the brains behind the LongPen and she created a company called Unotchit in late 2004 specifically to develop it. The LongPen reminds me a little of Nokia's Digital Pen which I'm sure could be made to do the same thing.
